한상혁이 만드는 엠비오 MVIO의 네 번째 컬렉션. 이번 주제는 '라이딩 RIDING'입니다. 무언가를 '타다'는 뜻의 라이딩은 말이나 전차, 자전거나 오토바이를 타는 것일 수도 있고, 컬렉션에 대한 짧은 설명에서 디자이너가 밝혔듯이 '그럴수도 있겠지 ver. sang'이란 장치를 타는 것일 수도 있습니다. 이번 컬렉션을 주최하는 엠비오라이딩클럽서울(M.V.R.C. SEOUL)은 '당신이 겪었던 혹은 겪고 있는 사랑에 대한 상처를 치유하는 목적'으로 운영하는 가상의 단체로, '그럴수도 있겠지 ver. sang'를 타도록 돕는 것이 궁극적인 목적이라고 하네요.

한상혁은 이제 네 번째를 맞은 엠비오 컬렉션에서 자신의 트레이드 마크였던 몇 가지 요소들을 서랍 속에 넣고, 지금까지 쓰지 않았던 요소들을 추가했습니다. 이번 컬렉션의 VIP 초대장인 검정 스터드가 박힌 검정 종이와 가죽으로 만든 팔찌는 힌트가 되겠지요. 며칠 뒤 컬렉션에서 그 결과물을 볼 수 있을 것입니다.

엠비오의 컬렉션은 매번 음악가들과 함께했습니다. 김창완, 루시드폴, 라 벤타나(La Ventana)의 음악은 디제이 은천(DJ eunchurn)의 믹스로, 서사적이고 경험에 기반을 둔 이야기를 풀어내는 데 탁월한 디자이너의 숨은 메시지로 전해졌습니다. 이번에는 '윤상'의 3집 앨범 수록곡 '사랑이란'이 컬렉션의 음악으로 쓰일 예정입니다.

저는 언제나처럼 준비 과정과 무대 뒤를 카메라에 담을 것입니다.
